some Germans may disapprove of this pick because Dussmann is basically German Barnes & Noble. HOWEVER, if you read English-language books, they are imo unparalleled in this city: two full floors of books in English, with an awesome selection of literary nonfiction, books about writing, and German literature in translation. plus they're open really late!
