Making a packing list template on Google Docs

Every time I make a new packing list from my template, I create a new tab in the spreadsheet. That way, I keep track of the things I've added for different kinds of trips (a family beach trip! a solo visit to the woods!). At this point I can copy a "beach trip" tab instead of my original template to get to a completed list even faster.

I can’t believe I didn’t think of this earlier. It’s been a game changer for my family (well really just for me, I don’t think anyone else has noticed). I made a packing list template with all the standard items for each family member. Before each trip, I add whatever other specific items we need to pack, print it and voila! A gorgeous packing list to check off as I pack.
